She was born in 1957 in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. She writes books that are fantasy, fun and have great pictures.

Mrs. Ernst has written over 30 books for kids. I like to read her books because they are funny. My favorite book of this author is The Gingerbread Girl. She is special because she makes excellent pictures and the funniest fractured fairytales.
