Do you want to know who my favorite author is? It is Kate DiCamillo. My author was born on March 25, 1964. My author was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Kate Dicamilo writes books that are novels and picture books. She decided to write books because she worked at a book store and it inspired her to write books. She has writen twelve books. Here are some of the books she wrote: The Tale of Despereaux, Because of Winn Dixie and The Tiger Rising. There are more books then that, but these are her most popular books.

She is a very good author because she is very creative. My favorite book of hers is the Tale of Despereaux. She is special because she writes good novels. She won the Newbery Medal two times. The books that won were The Tale of Despereaux and Because of Winn Dixie. Not only that, she is a good author of picture books too!
