Author and Illustrator Jan Brett

Even though I am a boy, I like Jan Brett. She is a great author. My favorite Jan Brett book is the Gingerbread Baby. Jan Brett has written more than 30 books. I like them all! They are fun to read too. Jan Brett's book rock because she writes about animals. A lot of people like her.

Jan Brett was born in 1949. She was inspired to write children's books because she was a good artist. She writes fiction. I like it when she writes new books. The new ones are the best! her latest book is Gingerbread Friends and her most famous book is The Mitten.

The most special thing about about her books are the pictures. Her pictures have lots of details and special boarders. She draws pictures that remind me of snow. Jan Brett says, "Writing a story is like going down a path in the woods. You follow the path. You don't worry about getting lost." You won't be lost if you follow a path to Jan Brett's books.
