Author and Illustrator Eric Carle
by Julia
You know you are a famous author and illustrator when they make a museum in your honor. Eric Carle might not be as famous as Dr. Seuss, but he has his own museum just like the famous Doctor. Eric Carle is know for writing books with beautiful pictures. I guess a museum is the right place for his illustrations.
Eric Carle was born on June 25, 1929 in Syracuse, New York. When he was siz years old he moved back to Germany and lived there for 17 years. He decided to write books because he was an artist and loved nature. His work is special because he uses tissue paper and paint to make a unque style of illustrations.
Some of Eric Carle's most famous stories are The Very Hungry Caterpillar and The Grouchy Ladybug. My favorite story by Eric Carle is Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See? My author is one of the most known Children's book authors, and just every kid is a fan!
