Dr. Seuss
by Logan
If you check out a Dr. Seuss book you will find Dr. Seuss is very funny and creative. You can tell this from one of his famous quotes, "From there to here and here to there, funny things are everywhere!" Dr. Seuss's books have good messages in them too. But the best way to recognize a Dr. Seuss book is by his wacky rhymes and crazy creatures. He wrote and illustrated 42 books. A few of his stories were published after he died in 1991. His most famous books are the Cat in the Hat, Green Eggs and Ham, and the Lorax.
He was born Theodore Seuss Geisel on March 2, 1904 in Springfield, Massachusetts. No one thought he would be successful. They all thought he was good at clowning around. He used that clowning to make up words and create outrageous rhymes. He received Caldecott awards for two of his books. Dr. Seuss is probably the most famous author of kids books. I love his stories and you will too!
