Who would have thought that kids would love a long nosed Ardvark? Well, Marc Brown is who! Marc Brown has written one of the most famous children's series ever. He wrote the Arthur Series.

He was born November 25, 1946 in Erie, Pennsylvannia. Now he lives in Hingham, Massachusettes. He gets his ideas from a big drawer full of scraps of stories, drawing and notes. He says it takes a long time to turn those ideas into a book.

He has written more than 30 books in the Arthur series. My favorite Arthur book is Arthur Meets the President because it was his first book. 

I chose Marc Brown because he wrote books about my favorite character-- Arthur!
