Jeff was born in1971 in Maryland. While in college he had a comic strip and knew he wanted to become a cartoonist. After failing to get his work syndicated, he started the idea of writing a book. His idea started on-line. Then it took him eight years to get it into a form that could be published.

Jeff Kinney is the creator of poptropica.com, you should really check it out! My favorite book by Jeff Kinney is The Last Straw because at one point Manny calls Greg ploopey! Another special thing about Jeff is that he acted in the second movie Rodrick Rules. Jeff is an amazing author and illustrator.
